How to germinate a peach seed without cold stratification and plant in a pot 14 days later! Peach Seed Germination No Cold Stratification: A Simple Guide Germinating a peach seed is a fun and rewarding project that can be done at any time.  Materials Needed: One peach seed (I recommend you start several at the same time) Paper Towel Small Plastic cup with a lid or other container that closes Water Soil Pot Step 1: Prepare the Seed Remove the Seed : Extract the seed from the peach, rinse it gently and then pull away any remaining fruit. Identify the Top and Bottom : The top is the slightly pointed end, and the bottom is the flat end. The roots will grow from the bottom. Step 2: Germinate the Seed Soak overnight in water or at least a few hours : This makes the seed coating easier to peel.   Peel the seed coating : Be careful with the pointed end - that is where the root will start.  Watch the video above to see how I peel the seed coating with my fingers....
